Adding the Shimmer EVM Network - Desktop
Your MetaMask will default to the "Ethereum Mainnet" network, so we need to get that changed. To do this, you'll need to follow these steps:
Click the dropdown button next to "Ethereum Mainnet" and click "Add Network":
Fill out all of the prompts using the following values...
Network Name: ShimmerEVM Testnet
Chain ID: 1071
Currency Symbol: SMR
After you've filled in all the prompts, click "Save":
And just like that you've added the Shimmer EVM Testnet network to your MetaMask!
